Cindy works with all types of textiles but finds that recycled materials inspire her home and personal essentials. Her original pieces are a creative study in textile work; rugs, mats, totes, and market bags are uniquely crafted in complementary colors and styles.

Participants will make market bags using colorful graphically printed burlap coffee bags, woven belts lined with bright fabric, with interior organizer pockets. 

A note from Cindy,

Recycle a raw coffee bean sack into a versatile weekend tote or market bag. The first person to sign up will get to choose which bag they would like. (See below!)

There will also be a selection of fabrics to use for the lining of the bag. We will be using a recycled belt as shown in the pictures to use as an adjustable handle. You'll be able to embellish with a pocket on the inside and/or the outside of the bag. Finally, we will be sewing on a Velcro tab to secure the opening.
